10th and 11th round of the Schachbundesliga

      German Bundesliga

10th and 11th round of the Schachbundesliga

At 25th and 26th of February 2012 the 10th and 11th round of the Schachbundesliga will take place. Take a look at the pairings at the venues Wattenscheid, Hockenheim, Trier and Remagen.

In Wattenscheid the host awaits Dortmund, Mülheim and Katernberg for the four matches of the weekend. All teams are situated in the Ruhr area of Germany, so many spectators are expected to visit the games. While three of the teams are ranked in the midfield of the table Dortmund is fighting against relegation.

Playing venue: Assembly hall of the secondary school Pestalozzi, Graf-Adolf-Str. 40, 44866 Bochum-Wattenscheid

      10th round: Saturday, 25th of February 2012, 2pm
SV Wattenscheid – SV Mülheim Nord
      Hansa Dortmund – SF Katernberg

      11th round: Sunday, 26th of February 2012, 10 am
SV Mülheim Nord – Hansa Dortmund
      SF Katernberg – SV Wattenscheid

Hockenheim, one of the promoted teams in the Schachbundesliga, organizes his second playing weekend of the season. The matches against Hamburg and Berlin surely will be hard-fought. Especially Hamburg plays against relegation and needs every point. Eppingen is the fourth team at this playing venue. The team of southwest Germany is fighting for the title and is odds-on favourite in the matches against Hamburg and Berlin.

Playing venue: Headquarter of Center MLP AG, Alte Heerstr. 40, 69168 Wiesloch

      10th round: Saturday, 25th of February 2012, 2pm
      SV Hockenheim – Hamburger SK
      SC Eppingen – SF Berlin

      11th round: Sunday, 26th of February 2012, 10 am
      Hamburger SK – SC Eppingen
      SF Berlin – SV Hockenheim

The German champion, OSG Baden-Baden, will play in Trier. These two clubs are expected to win their matches against the two promoted teams Dresden and Berlin-Tegel. A surprise at this venue is unlikely since the elo-difference between the teams is very high.

Playing venue: Assembly hall of the local authorities, Willy-Brandt-Platz 1, 54290 Trier

      10th round: Saturday, 25th of February 2012, 2pm
SG Trier – USV TU Dresden
OSG Baden-Baden – SK König Tegel

      11th round: Sunday, 26th of February 2012, 10 am
USV TU Dresden – OSG Baden-Baden
SK König Tegel – SG Trier

Probably the most interesting venue of the 10th and 11th round is Remagen. First of all the host is fighting against relegation though the team is peperred with many grandmasters. And secondly the top match of the weekend takes place in Remagen, when on Sunday Bremen will face Solingen. Whereas Bremen is fighting for the championship, Solingen aims a place under the top three in the final ranking.

Playing venue: Assembly hall of the comprehensive school Remagen, Goethestr. 43, 53424 Remagen

      10th round: Saturday, 25th of February 2012, 2pm
      SC Remagen – Werder Bremen
SG Solingen – SK Turm Emsdetten

      11th round: Sunday, 26th of February 2012, 10 am
      Werder Bremen – SG Solingen
SK Turm Emsdetten – SC Remagen
