      Under the auspices of Nepal chess association & Asian chess federation
      At Kanchanpur , Nepal , June 13th to 19th 2010

      The Nepal chess association on behalf of Fide and Asian chess Federation cordially invite your federation to participate in the 1st Sudur paschimanachal international open rating chess tournament, Nepal.

      Prize — The total cash prize found NRs.1.70,000 for 42 players
      1st Rs.40,000, 2nd Rs.25.000, 3rd Rs.15,000, 4th Rs. 10,000, 5th Rs. 7,000 , 6th Rs.5,000 , 7th Rs. 4,000 , 8th Rs.3.000 , 9th Rs. 2,500 , 10th Rs.2,500
      11th to 14th Rs.2,000 each , 15th to 20th Rs. 1,500 each

      Unrated 1st Rs.4,000 , 2nd Rs. 3,000 , 3rd Rs. 2,000
      Best rating below 1800 Rs. 2,000
      Girls 1st Rs.2.000 , 2nd Rs. 1,000 Best Rating 1800 – 1899 Rs.2,000
      Vet (+50 ) 1st Rs. 2,000, 2nd Rs. 1,000 Best Rating 1900 – 1999 Rs. 2,000
      Vet (+60 ) 1st Rs. 1,500 Best Rating 2000 – 2099 Rs. 2000
      Best local Unrated Rs.1,5 00 U 20 1st Rs. 2,000 , 2nd Rs.1,000 U 16 1st Rs 1,500 , U 12 1st Rs.1,500
      Best Sudur Paschim 1st Rs.2,500 , 2nd Rs.1,500 , Best kanchanpur 1st Rs, 2,000 , Best Mahendra Nagar 1st Rs.1,500

      Entries

      All titles holder players & rating above 2300 Free

      Up to 2100 Rs.500 , 2000 to 2099 Rs. 700 , 1900 to 1999 Rs.900 , 1800 to 1899 Rs.1100 , Below 1800 Rs.1300 , Unrated Rs.1500 , (local unrated players only Rs.1000)

      Last day of entry : 10thJune 2010 . Entry fee will also be accepted at the tournament venue till 10.00AM on 14thJune with a late fee of Rs.500 . No request towards waiver of entry fee or waiver of late will be entertained.

      The tournament rules

      System of play : The tournament will be played under the FIDE laws of chess , Swiss system. Total 10 rounds will be played.

      Tie break : The latest tie breaking rules as stipulated in the FIDE rules will be applied.

      Time control : 90 min + 30 sec increment from move 1st , Protest if any must be lodged within 30 min of the incident with a fee of Rs.1000,

      If the claimed demined the fee will not be refunded . It is forbidden to use any electronic devices inside the playing venue . If during the game any players ringed any things the game shall be lost. But the score of the opp will be decide by the Arbiter.
      The decision of appeals committee , chief arbiter will be final .

      Accommodation : Free lodging will be provided to all the out station players .
      Players are requested to bring their own chess clock
      Weather : The weather max 35 c in Mahendra during May

        Anish Giri is a Dutch national.

        Anish Giri’s dad Sanjay Giri is a Nepal. Not sure if Anish has a dual citizenship.
