      WHAT: United States Chess Federation (U.S.C.F.) Sanctioned Tournament. 5-Round Swiss in 5 Sections: K-5 Novice, Primary (K-3), Elementary (K-5/6), Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12). (Novice Sections for players with no USCF rating or rating less than 250). Time Controls: Game/30 (Thirty minutes per side per game)

      WHERE: Del Mar College East Campus, Harvin Center, Retama Room, 101 Baldwin Blvd., Corpus
      Christi, TX 78404.

      WHO: All students grades K through 12. Students who register for sections above their grade level play as individuals only and are not eligible for team trophies.

      COST: Registration is $15.00. USCF membership req’d ($17 for Scholastic [up to age 12], or $19 for Youth [ages 13-15], or $25 for Young Adult [ages 16 to 25]). Add appropriate USCF fees to registration OR show proof of current membership for each player.

      REGISTRATION: Early registration must be postmarked by February 8, 2008 or received by February 13, 2008. NO ONSITE REGISTRATION.

      ROUNDS: Round 1 starts at 9:30. Please arrive by 9:00 to check in. Following rounds will be at: 11:00, 12:45, 2:15, 3:45.

      FOOD: A food concession will be available.

      PRIZES: Everyone will receive a crown of royalty! Trophies to top 8 in each section, medals to next 8. Trophies to top 3 schools in each section. Awards presentation at 5:00.
