Chess championship on next month

THE 2016 Kundan Singh Open Chess Championship is set to be played next month.
Initially, the championship was scheduled for last week but Fiji Chess Federation was forced to postpone it because of Cyclone Winston.
“Due to the damage done by Winston to most of Fiji, we have stalled our tournaments until March 2016,” said FCF general secretary Goru Arvind said.
FCF president Calvin Prasad, who holds the title of a candidate master, is the defending champion.
