      3-tie for 1st at ZDMI Open in Dresden

      ZMDI Open 2013 was organized by the ZMDI Schachfestival Dresden e.V. from 10th to 18th August at the Ramada Hotel in Dresden, Germany.

      199 players competed in three elo sections. The main event was 9-round Open A with 99 participants.

      Grandmasters Samuel Shankland (USA), Mikhailo Oleksienko (Ukraine) and Georg Meier (Germany) shared the first place with 7,0/9 points each. Shankland took the winner’s trophy on best Buchholz score.

      Top prizes in Open A were EUR 2000, 1600, 1200, 800, 720, 640, 560 etc
