$3,050 is the current highest bid

Bobby Fischer, Chess auction, chess book, EBay

The current highest bid is now at $3,050 here. If even just one book is signed by Bobby, how much higher would it go?

        Interestingly, that’s $61 per book.

The item has been removed, so I guess it was a fake indeed.

Ebay took off that bid, it no longer exists.

I wouldn’t give used toilet paper for anything that man signed after reading the things he has said.

There WAS a listing for this book at the US eBay webpage and I placed a bid on it, more for fun than anything else. I have an e-mail note from eBay this morning stating that the notice for the book has been removed and that the seller has had all trading privileges suspended. I am also strongly recommended to avoid sending any money if contacted by the seller outside of eBay.

The book is no longer available. Nice hoax.

Now we know that it has been withdrawn, but even if it hadn’t been, I don’t think that a copy of a self-printed book is worth that much just because it says “first edition” instead of “second edition”.
