      8th NA FIDE Invitational

      Angelo Young, NA FIDE Invitational, Sevan Muradian, Touch Move Chess Club


      The 8th North American FIDE Invitational IM norm tournament has begun.

      10 participants come together where 7 are competing for IM norms. A score of 6.5/9 will secure an IM norm.

      The participants include:

      IM David Vigorito (USA)
      IM Arjun Vishnuvardhan (IND)
      IM Angelo Young (PHI)
      FM Mehmed Pasalic (GER)
      FM Raymond Kaufman (USA)
      FM Igor Tsyganov (USA)
      FM Albert Chow (USA)
      NM Dennis Monokroussos (USA)
      NM Jon L. Burgess (ENG)
      Expert Michael Thaler (USA)

      The host site is the Touch Move Chess Center in Chicago, IL which is owned and operated by IM Angelo Young.

      All games are transmitted on the MonRoi World Databank of Chess (www.monroi.com/wdc)

        No he is not.

        This event is sponsored by the players’ entry fees, the North American Chess Association, Touch Move Chess Center, MonRoi, The Chess Piece, and Cajun Chess.

        Of course there are sponsors like the Susan Polgar Chess Blog that helps give coverage of the event which we all appreciate greatly!
