      Asian Junior & Girls Under-20 Chess Championships

      FIDE, Scholastic chess, UAE

      The UAE Chess Federation & Sharjah Chess and Cultural Club have the honor to invite all Asian National Chess Federations affiliated to FIDE to participate in the 2013 Asian Junior Chess Championships under 20 from 29th March (arrival) to 7th April (departure) 2013 in Sharjah, UAE.

      The Championships will be played according to the Swiss System of 9 Rounds. Time control is 90 minutes for the whole game with 30 second increments per move from move 1. In the last round, players from the same country who have more than 50% shall not be paired together.

      Each National Federation can enter one (1) player in each category (Open & Girls), totaling a maximum of two (2) invited Players.

      Medal winners of previous championships and current Asian champion (and girls) under 18 will also have personal right and will be accepted as official players.
       
      Additional (extra) players per category from national Federations can also be registered.

      Entitled to participate are chess players from the federations in Zones 3.1 to 3.7 who shall not have reached the age of 20 by January 1st 2013.

      Federations should inform the Organizing Committee by 25th February 2013 of the number of participants in order to ascertain number of hotel rooms required. Entry forms must be filled by the National Federations and returned to the organizer not later than 1st March 2013. This date is the registration deadline. Late registration shall bear a $50 fine. Copies of the entry should be sent to the Asian Chess Federation and respective Zone President.

      All players and accompanying persons should be registered through the organizers at the designated official hotel “Sharjah Centro Rotana Hotel”.

      Free board and lodging will be provided to the invited players from noon of 29th March to noon of 7th April. The Organizers shall accommodate 2 or 3 invited participants in shared rooms.

      Hotel payments for all extra players and accompanying persons must be made in advance on arrival in Sharjah.

      Every player (invited, extra or by personal right) and every accompanying person has to pay to the organizers the amount of US $100 Participation Fee upon arrival to the tournament organizer.

      In accordance with FIDE regulations an entry fee of US$75 is required for each invited player. This amount must be paid to the Organizing Committee at the moment of the registration.

      For each additional (extra) player, an entry fee of US$150 is required. This amount must be paid to the Organizing Committee at the moment of the registration.

      For those who need visas, send all passport copy to Organizing Committee before 25th Feb at email and fax number below, the Organizing Committee shall issue Visa.
