Kolkata, Dec 18 (IBNS): World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand Monday inaugurated NIIT Mind Champion’s Academy and launched a magazine NHS Gallery at National High School for Boys and National High School for Girls in Kolkata, respectively.
NIIT Limited is a Global Talent Development Corporation and IT trainer.
Present at the occasion were President of N.R Iyer Memorial Education Society S.Radhakrishnan; Secretary of N.R Iyer Memorial Education Society K.R Sriram; National Sales Head, School Learning Solutions of NIIT Ltd Anurag Dixit and Associate Vice President of School Learning Solutions of NIIT Ltd., Debdash Banerjee.
Anand said, “Over the years, NIIT Mind Champions’ Academy has been popularizing Chess in schools across India to enable development of young minds and encourage them to take up the sport.”
“It has been established that the game of Chess makes a significant contribution to the field of education.”
