      Milwaukee Summer Challenge

      Chess tournament, Milwaukee, Wisconsin


      Hello Chessplayers,

      The Milwaukee Summer Challenge, a new summer event is coming soon on Saturday & Sunday, July 14-15, 2012.

      5-Round Swiss; G/120 with 5 second delay;
      4 Sections: Master/Expert (closed), U2000, U1500, and U1000;
      Best Game prizes in top three sections!

      The event will be held at the Wyndham Milwaukee Airport Hotel (near Milwaukee airport: 4747 S. Howell Avenue, Milwaukee – 414-481-8000). Mention Southwest Chess Club for $79 room rate.

      We hope you will attend this new event (brought to you by the Southwest Chess Club, organizers of the Hales Corners Challenge series).

      Some event highlights:

      1. The tournament is run in four separate sections

      Master/Expert (closed to 2000 & above rating)——Under 2000—–Under 1500—–Under 1000

      2. Life Master Sheldon Gelbart will be on hand throughout the tournament to analyze games for tournament participants

      3. Anupama Rajendra, winner of the National All Girls Championship recently held in Chicago, has entered this weekend’s event.

      4. Best Game Prizes

      (1) in Master/Expert $50

      (2) in U2000 $25

      (3) in U1500 $25

      4. Goddesschess is again generously sponsoring prizes for female chess players as noted below:

      (1) in Master/Expert, $100 to top scoring female finisher provided at least 2 females play;

      (2) in U2000, $75, to top scoring female finisher provided at least 2 females play;

      (3) in U1500, $50, to top scoring female finisher provided at least 3 females play;

      (4) in U1000, $25, to top scoring female finisher provided at least 3 females play;

      There are no tie-breaks; if tie score the prize money is split; and

      Must score a draw or win in any section to qualify for prize.
