      Special wishes for Gelfand

Boris Gelfand, Moscow, Russia, World Championship

Livnat Wishes Gelfand Well in World Chess Championship

      4/8/2012, Nisan 16, 5772

Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat hosted Boris Gelfand, Sunday, a little more that a month before his matches against India’s Viswanathan Anand for the world chess championship. She thanked the native of Belarus for the respect he has brought the country and expressed hope that she would host him again as the victor. She called Communications Minister Moshe Cachlon and agreed that a special postage stamp be issued at the time of the championship.

Gelfand, who immigrated to Israel in 1988 at the age of 20, presented the minister with a chessboard featuring Jewish players and played a friendly match with her.

Nakamura can beat both of them in 8 games or less.

Always believe wikipedia. And yes, Nakamura might beat either player, but in 1 minute. He wouldn’t have a chance in a match.

Hooray for Gelfand. He would not be the first Jewish champion, of course, simply the first Israeli.

Always believe Wikipedia. And yes, if Nakamura has 8 chances, he would likely win one against either of these guys.
