To the Tretyakov Gallery – with their own picture
Logo for World Championship Match has been approved.
The Russian Chess Federation and FIDE have agreed the logo for the FIDE World Chess Championship Match between Viswanathan Anand (India) and Boris Gelfand (Israel).
As previously announced, the match for the world chess crown will take place from 10 to 31 May 2012 in the Engineering Building of the State Tretyakov Gallery.
The initiator and chief sponsor of the World Championship Match, the Russian businessman Andrei Filatov, joint owner and executive director of the N-Trans group of companies, believes that holding such a large-scale chess competition in one of the country’s biggest national museums will help to popularise Russian art.
