Muzychuk leads the field by a full point

Anna Matlin, European Women's Championship, Turkey

Back in 2003-04, Garry Kasparov and I had a discussion in New York about the future of women’s chess. This was before Hou Yifan was well known to the chess world. At that time, Garry predicted that Tatiana Kosintseva would rule women’s chess after Judit while I picked Anna Muzychuk, who I am not sure was even 2400 yet. Now, Anna is right around 2600 and I believe she will be a force to be reckon with and can give Hou Yifan a run for her money for the next decade.
