US broadcaster CBS is following World number one chess player Magnus Carlsen as he competes in a tournament in London.
Bob Simon, host of the CBS programme 60 Minutes, was impressed with the 21-year-old star.
Telling NRK that he was a challenge to probe, Mr Simon, stated, however, “He [Carlsen] is one of the most honest people I have interviewed.”
Magnus Carlsen learnt to play chess at the age of 5 and became a grandmaster at 13 years old.
“Of course I had of course, ambition, and it grew as things gradually improved. Nevertheless, I never intended to become the best in the world. It has just happened,” he said to NRK.
