This year we organize III Leon Chess World Open (Spain) and the Open will be organised in 2 days (rapid): Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 of December.
Prizes are around 22.000€ and also many good prizes for amateurs. Leon is a very nice city with one of the most famous Gothic Cathedrals in Europe,and other historical monuments: Leon was the capital of the Kingdom of León. Also there is very good atmosphere in this modern city, with many typical bars, restaurants and pubs.

We have a very special offer at Hotel Riosol, 3 stars, in the town centre of the city, near train and bus station, 40 € a double room for 1 or 2 persons.
And this will be the local playing, which limit of capacity is around 300 people.
For all people interested, we also organise a round robin between the 4 main players, friday 16 December, at 17,30 h. And also there will a master conference -free- of Ljubomir Ljubojevic number 3 in the world in 89, Thursday 15th, at 19 h. He will speak about Fischer, Spassky, Kasparov, Karpov, Tal….
