        This is a disastrous results for the women. Why Susan wasn’t invited?

        Well, the organizers ensured that the teams’ average ratings would be the same. Judit was scheduled to play but her World Cup schedule overlapped this event because she advanced pretty far, so she was replaced by IM Fierro. To keep the ratings balanced the Kings got NM Cao to replace Karpov, who was supposed to play but had other obligations.

        More of an interesting event than a competition…Fun to follow. I do wonder why Nakamura didn’t compete in the World Cup, but then again, neither did Carlsen.
