      The 6th Poti International Chess Festival “Nana Aleksandria’s Cup – 2011” is being played on 10-19th July in Poti, Georgia. The Festival consists of seven events: Open, Boys under age 8, Girls under age 8, Boys under age 10, Girls under age 10, Boys under age 12 and Girls under age 12.

      The festival is amanged by the Local Management of Poti, Georgian Chess Federation and Chess and Draughts complex sport school of Poti “Nana”. The total prize fund is 18 000 USD.

      The main Open has 127 participants. After four rounds of play ten players are in joint lead with 3.5 points each: GM Pantsulaia Levan GEO 2612, Zarkua Davit GEO 2433, Beradze Irakli GEO 2281, IM Chighladze Iveri GEO 2401, IM Morchiashvili Bachana GEO 2376, Shahinyan David ARM 2314, Vakhania Alexandra GEO 2191, GM Shanava Konstantine GEO 2535, IM Kalashian David ARM 2410 and IM Qashashvili Alexandre GEO 2332.
