      KC Chess Foundation Scholastic

      Kansas City, Missouri, Scholastic chess

      Parents,

Once again I would like to thank all the students who attended this event. We are glad you could make it.

I would also like to thank the kind benefactors who provided all the awards. Prizes seem to be very important for kids so this element becomes very necessary in the process of encouraging the kids to keep learning. We hope to see you all again if we have a similar event in the future.

Thanks goes out to the Kansas City Public Libraries and Crosby Kemper for making the space available to the Kansas City Chess Foundation and this event.

The USCF rating report won’t be published for another week or so due to some complications. I will let you know when it has been published.

The ratings on the crosstables below are NOT official. They are especially not official because there was an unrated player in one section and the other had someone who had a provisional rating, so that can sometimes skew the rating changes.

Winners of the iPad2’s were Ronak Shah in the Reserve Section, and Zac Schuh in the Premier section. Congratulations to you both.
