An early photo of Lou Gramm from Foreigner. He’s got stars in his eyes.

If He concentrate only on chess, He could become World Champion.
He had the capacity for that, but too many fields to concentrate for, then his chess was deteroriated.
Why don’t you just dumped that mathematics, Astronomy and others bal, bla, bla…when you are still young (at the age in this photo, around 25 – 30) and you are the World chess challenger to Karpov back then 1978-1981-1984), instead of Korchnoi or a too young Kasparov.
        Now, it’s too late…
Time will not coming back, you are almost 60 now…
It’s physical and body matters by now, no more chance, since the beasts are around and they are young and got fresh head, such as Carlsen, Aronian, Karjakin, Nakamura, Nepomniatchi and still many others.
Just be a good an invincible Problem Solving Champion, John.
I congratulate you for this one achievement!

The question below the photo should have been “Can you name this handsome chess player?” 😉
