Vishwanathan Anand among winners of Global Leadership Awards

Mumbai, Feb 8 (PTI) World Chess champion Vishwanathan Anand is among the winners of the 7th Annual Global Leadership Awards announced today by the National Association of Software & Services (NASSCOM) to business and thought leaders, who have created global impact with their work. Anand has been conferred with the Global Strategist Award for mastering many formats of World Chess Championships.
Other awardees include: Shantanu Narayen, President and CEO, Adobe Systems Incorporated, Louis Chenevert, CEO & Chairman, UTC, Prof. Raghuram G Rajan, Eric J Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Finance, University of Chicago. The Global Innovator Award has been given to Narayen for breaking conventional processes going beyond marginal improvements in existing products and services.
The awards were presented to individuals for their role in building business excellence and technology leadership within their organisations, in the areas such as vision, excellence in IT usage, technology innovation, thought and business leadership. “This year, NASSCOM is proud to present these awards to business and thought leaders who have created global impact with their work. At the same time, we seek the assistance of these leaders to contribute to the benefits of business and society in the coming decade,” NASSCOM President, Som Mittal said.
