      Ten players share the lead at Andorra Chess Open after R6
      results, photos, and report

      One of the most exciting and strong opens of this summer – the Andorra Chess 2010 – continues in St.Gothard’s Hotel. The surprising results from rounds 1 and 2 have had a major impact and the tournament has entered in the culmination fase. Ten players share the first position with 5,0/6 – GM Hamdouchi, GM Bruzon, GM Romain Edouard, GM Zilberman, IM Luca Shytaj, GM Kogan, GM Paunovic, GM Jorge Cori, GM Arizmendi, and GM Narciso Dublan. They are closely followed by 12 players with 4,5/7, among which norm seekers such as IM Ipatov, IM Gagarin, IM Pavlovic, and the untitled Shiven Khosla.

      Today is round 7 of the event and it can be followed live at the official site. Large photo gallery of the tournament is available here with beautiful views from Andorra.

      Andorra Chess Open is valid for GM/IM norms and features a prize fund of 10 000 eur. Scroll down for full standings.

      The time control is 40 moves in 90 minutes and 30 minutes to finish with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from the first move. Games start 15:30h daily, except the first and second round at 16:00h and the last round that will be from 09:30h.
