      Spanish rapid chess championship 2010
      GM Ivan Salgado Lopez top seeded

      The Spanish rapid chess championship – Campeonato de ajedrez rapido – is taking place 10th to 11th of July 2010 in Benasque, Spain. A total of 44 players have signed up for the event. Top seeded is the Spanish young talent GM Ivan Salgado Lopez. His main competition will come from GM Arizmendi, GM Cifuentes, GM Khamrakulov, GM Gomez, IM Llaneza Vega, IM Lariño Nieto, IM Almagro Llamas, and IM Garbisu De Goni. Ivan Salgado Lopez, however, is the only player from the Olympic team of Spain will participate in the rapid championship.

      The first round is on the 10th of July. Here are the top 10 rated participants:
