      IM Marijan Petrov wins Thessaloniki Open
      Tiebreak separates the first four at the open event of Games Festival

      IM Marijan Petrov conquered the Thessaloniki Open that took place in Greece April 04th-11th, 2010, as part of the Games Festival. IM Petrov scored 7,0/9, the same points as IM Esen Barris, GM Daniele Vocaturo, and GM Krum Georgiev, but better tiebreak gave him the gold medal. IM Petrov started with 4 straight victories and did not lose a single game to the end to get the first place at the Thessaloniki Open and add 8 points ELO.

      The women section was won by IM Masha Klinova ahead of Ekaterini Pavlidou.
