      Final Four round 2 update

Brownsville, Final Four, Lubbock, Texas Tech, TTU

UTB GM Gareev is the 1st player to score a win against IM Zivanic of UTD. All other games are still on going, all too close to call.

Texas Tech is facing the defending champion UMBC with 3 GMs and 1 IM. It is like David vs. Goliath. But our guys are not going down without a fight.

Draw on board 4 for UTB and UTD. UTB now leads 1.5 -0.5.

All 4 games between Texas Tech and UMBC are still on going. UMBC has an edge on board 1 while Texas Tech has an edge on board 4. The other 2 games can go either way.

Texas Tech and UMBC drew on board 3 and 4 while GM Erenburg pulled out a miracle to beat Papp on board 2. UMBC now leads 2-1 with an edge on board 1 as well.

In a very difficult but drawn endgame, Kuljasevic blundered in severe time pressure. UMBC wins 3-1.

UTB also won on board 3. Final score UTB 3-1 UTD.

Standings: UMBC 6 points, UTB 5.5 points, TTU 2.5, UTD 2.0
