MIDDLETOWN — Middletown schools will host a multiplayer chess tournament in which 40 players will challenge 15-year-old Deepak Aaron, who in October won the under-16 division at the North American Youth Chess Championship in Mazatlan, Mexico.

The simultaneous chess exhibition will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Middletown High School. The event is free.

Middletown students will play, as well as other members of the Mid-Hudson Chess League.

Event organizer Luis Garcia is also looking for college students and community members to play.

      For more information, e-mail lgarcia@ecsdm.org.

The snow date is 2 p.m. Feb. 6.
