So, why is Alexandra Kosteniuk not on the list?
        She is rated 2516.

I don’t think she played since last year. You have to be active to be on the list. It’s sad to see a world champion sit.

Judit is #1 again and she doesn’t need to self boast with the title chess queen. Go Judit!

Judith is still the best! None of the other ladies come close, though Humpy and Hou are trying.

Anand proclaimed himself “King of Chess”? He will dance at the prom night with the Queen this end-year.

‘I don’t think she played since last year.’

She played hundreds of games. But not ones that require fees being paid to FIDE. So, out she goes!

So, let’s say the first couple of hundred women take a break from FIDE chess games. What happens? Some lady of rating 1999 becomes World #1!! What a joke!

How about if all of you would take a look on the official rating list instead of a list in some forum or blog?

Kosteniuk’s rating is 2517 and she is #11 on the Women’s list.
