      Keeping the dream ALIVE!

Andre Diamant, Lubbock, Ray Robson, SPF, SPICE, SPICE Cup, Texas Tech, TTU

Ray was about to play 24. Qxg7 and GM Diamant resigned immediately.

Ray needed this win to keep his GM title hope alive. Ray will face FM Rensch tomorrow with the Black pieces. If Ray wins, he will become a GM. If Danny draws or win, Danny will become an IM. It’s down to one game for these two players. There is no margin for error. This is as exciting as one can hope for.

There are 3 GMs in this tournament. GM Diamant scored 2.5 points from 8 games, 2nd last in a field of 10.

GM Diamant has been very sick right before the tournament. He almost had to withdraw.

        Best wishes,
