      SPICE Cup Update

      Lubbock, SPF, SPICE Cup, Texas, Texas Tech, TTU


      GMs Yuriy Kuzubov, Dmitry Andreikin, Jon Ludvig Hammer, and Andre Diamant have arrived in Lubbock, Texas. GM Wesley So and his father will arrive later today.

      Of course IMs Gabor Papp, Davorin Kuljasevic, and Gergely Antal are already here in Lubbock as they are students at Texas Tech University.

      There will be many soccer games and ping pong matches as the players are already asking for it 🙂 Stay tuned for the a lot of photos and videos in the next 12 days.

      The SPICE Cup will begin this Saturday. Games will be broadcast LIVE on MonRoi, ICC, and PlayChess.

        As much as the A group will be packed with top players, I am just as excited if not more to watch the B group. Four IMs with 2 GM norms each, one of which is Robson going for the youngest american GM title! The B group is going to be filled with fighting chess and hopefully some norms! I’m pulling for the Tech guys or Robson to pull it out! Best of luck to all!
