      Webster University IM Irene Sukandar won 4th World Online Women Blitz Qualifier

      The prestigious FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship 2015 continued on Thursday, August 27th with the fourth qualifier tournament being played on the official FIDE Online platform.

      40 players from 20 different countries took part in the event. The 23 years old IM/ WGM Irene Kharisma Sukandar(Indonesia) emerged a convincing winner with 10/11 points, leaving the runner-up, WIM Elena Tomilova (Russia), half a point behind.

      IM/ WGM Irina Vasilevich (Russia) finished third with 9 points.

      The rest of the players who advances to the semifinal are: WGM Karina Ambartsumova (Russia), WCM Evi Lindiawati (Indonesia), WGM Sabina Foisor (United States), IM/WGM Iva Videnova (Bulgaria) and WGM Sandugach Shaydullina (Russia).

      The first stage of the Championship will be completed over eight (8) qualifier tournaments, followed by a semifinal with 64 players, and a final tournament with 10 players.

      A rich prize fund of 9000 USD will be awarded in the final tournament.

      Registrations for the FIDE event are continuously open. The players can compete from the comfort of their home, without costs associated with the hotels and airfares.

      The schedule of the remaining qualifier tournaments is as follows (Date | GMT/UTC time):
      – September 3rd, 2015 | 19:00
      – September 10th, 2015 | 13:00
      – September 17th, 2015 | 7:00
      – September 24th, 2015 | 13:00

      Eight (8) players advance from each qualifier tournament to the semifinal.

      The competition will take place on the official FIDE Arena Online platform. FIDE Online uses AceGuard, anti-cheating and security software of new generation. Based on advanced behavioral analysis and the activities of the players, AceGuard indicates deviations from proper procedures of play.
