      4 players in the lead of 17th International Chess Festival of Trieste

      The 17th International Chess Festival of Trieste is currently in progress in the Italian city of Trieste.

      The event is held from August 29th to September 5th, as a 9-round Swiss tournament, open for players rated above 1799.

      Four players share the lead after 7 rounds. GM Gyula Pap of Hungary, GM Marin Bosiocic of Croatia, GM Alberto David of Italy and IM Leon Mazi of Slovenia have 5.5 points out of 7 rounds.

      The 15-year-old Ivana Hrescak of Slovenia is currently first among women with 3.5 points and 25th position.

      The winner will be granted 1,200 EUR.
