      Karposh Open 2016 in Skopje

      Karposh Open 2016 is traditional open chess tournament for any interested chess player, regardless their rating, title or category.

      It is organized by the municipality Karpos, one of the municipalities in the capital city of Republic of Macedonia, Skopje in collaboration with Chess Club Gambit Asseco SEE from 1st April 2016 (Friday) till 7th April 2016 (Thursday). The playing hall is Hotel Aleksandar Palace*****.

      The event is a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament valid for FIDE rating and norms, with prize fund in the amount of EUR 10,000.

      The regular prizes will be awarded as follows: 1) 2,000 EUR 2) 1,300 EUR 3) 900 EUR 4) 600 EUR 5) 500 EUR 6) 400 EUR 7) 300 EUR 8) 200 EUR 9) 200 EUR 10) 150 EUR 11) 150 EUR 12) 150 EUR 13) 150 EUR 14) 100 EUR 15) 100 EUR

      Round 6 – April 4, 17:30
      Round 7 – April 5, 17:30
      Round 8 – April 6, 17:30
      Round 9 – April 7, 9:30
      Closing ceremony – 30′ after the end of the last game
