      Diego Maradona, Suleiman Al Fahim

Maradona As President, Messi As Manchester Star?

I don’t know if Diego Maradona can be a good coach. I think he has to be the chairman of a club, Al Fahim said.

After Brazilian star Kaka said “no” to Manchester City, the English Premiership club owner Suleiman Al Fahim (31) is ready to go shopping.

“I love Maradona and his football”

I’m a fan of Diego Maradona when he was playing for Argentina in ‘86, I was a fan of the player when he was in Napoli. Messi is a player that makes me love again Argentina. I love Argentina again.

      Suleiman Al Fahim

President of the Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), City`s new owner, wants to bring in two Argentineans: Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi. He had the presidential post in sights for Maradona, while Messi would lead the team on the pitch.

      – I don’t know if Diego Maradona can be a good coach. I think he has to be the chairman of a club and have the right to choose and buy players – Al Fahim told the Germany DPA agency.

      – I’m a fan of Diego Maradona when he was playing for Argentina in ‘86, I was a fan of the player when he was in Napoli. Messi is a player that makes me love again Argentina. I love Argentina again – Al Fahim said.

Suleiman Al Fahim is currently the wealthiest man in British football, as his fortune is estimated at 16 billion euros. That’s one bad thing about capitalism:
        Money buys EVERYTHING…

The problem is that he gets bored very soon. Once he does he sells it and that club/competition/whatever is then stangnating very fast. Maybe even disapears forever.

8th in the Premier League at the moment…best hope is UEFA competition next year and a gradual build towards Champions’ League competiton one day…who know?

Splashing a lot of money to lure top players may not always work – case in point Kaka…as top players want to play with the best – and in the best competition (their team getting a top 4 spot so as to get into Champions’ League the next season)…can’t see Messi leaving Barca for Man City (Man Utd maybe!)

        Congrats to Carlsen…
