Haha, I meant her chess skills. She is not playing very stable right now. She can beat 2700+ but can also lose to 2500+ easily.
Who is going to be the next great female chess player? easy – Hou! Harika is up and coming and Humpy going the Humpty Dumpty way.
Me thinks she will mature and be a 2700 player in 2-3 years.
That depends on her further exposure to top level tournaments.

That is my problem also.
It seems that every time I beat a 2700 player I find a way to lose to some patzer 2550 GM.
Get Real. So what if she loses a few. It is all part of the learning process, she is doing great. Might have 2700 in her future.
OTB, Yifan could cut the nuts off of 80% the worlds GMs. Pretty scary thought. I think she is ahead of Judith’s pace.
I agree it is important to lose a few. There are a thousand aspects of chess to learn and practice. Give her a break.
She will probably have to expand her openings and all kinds of things. I hope she stops playing in all womens tournaments and trys to concentrate on open mens tournaments at the top level. Although it would be ok to play in the womens championships.
I keep losing to some lower rated chess players. Amazing. You would think I would never lose to anyone rated below me. But no. I have to make a bad move and get crushed.
And when I crush someone rated higher than me I show him no mercy.
Doncha just love chess.
I love Hou Yi-fan’s girlish charms. It must be a nightmare for a super GM to get whipped by such a cute girl.
No question that Hou has a bright future in chess.
As for matching Judit’s pace, let’s not forget that Judit in 1991 (around the same age as Hou now) beat Anand. TWICE!
Other strong GMs Judit beat that year include Khalifman and Van Wely. She also drew Gelfand and Shirov in 1991.

Among her lost games of Hou Yifan in this tournament there has only one game to someone which has slighly lower ELO than her. So this time she is actually quite stable.
