I think Anand will go for safe draws in the next four games..and that should seal the deal..
I think it is a tricky situation for Kramnik…He has to play to win to salvages some pride, which means taking more risks..That also means opening doors to Anand for a win too..If Kramnik loses one more time in the next two matches..God save his reputation…
Kramnik should play d4 again and keep playing the Slav until I understands it. Vishy is a good teacher. And maybe Anand will let Kramnik play with the white pieces for the rest of the match? That would be a nice gesture.
Learning the Slav is about all that Kramnik will gain from this match. Plus it takes away all the nervouness as he already knows the position.
Another attacking game by Anand. The overall quality of this championship (the games, organization, and other factors included) is topnotch. And it’s so refreshing to watch a WCC which doesn’t include a stupid manager who yells “Toilet-gate! Toilet-gate” whenever his ward loses.
i am reading these posts all over the internet saying how kramnik is bust, how the match is over etc. etc. etc.
i am an anand fan and i would want him to win by as big a margin as possible.
but on the other hand, the match is in its half, and i dont see why kramnik couldnt bounce back. everybody is saying “oh its impossible to score +3 on anand in 6 games”. but how many have thought it just as impossible for anand to score +3 on kramnik in 6 games?
lets just wait and see.
I agree with post above. Kramnik is no slouch and anything can happen. Though I’d be quite surprised if this wonderful Slav bomb Anand dropped is the only black opening to D4 that Anand has prepared.
I’m thinking he’ll switch it today and destroy all the work Kramnik has done on the Slav in recent days. That would be a back breaker.

Anand has a big lead, true. But after his play in the first half, I do not think he will coast. He may play a little safer, but I still think he’ll go for the win in the games.
Kramnik has nothing to lose at this point. He’s down by 3 points, with 6 games left. If he doesn’t go for wins, he’ll lose for sure. Playing for the WCC, he cannot sit and play safe, and we might see things become a little closer should Kramnik manage to break through.
I wouldn’t like to see kramnik give up without a fight. Afterall, its two champions that are playing WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Anyways, my vote is for Anand to win it in style. 🙂

The important factor looks like Anand clearly prepared for d4 (with both white and black)
And looks like kramnik clearly prepared for e4 with black.
I believe he was more confident with d4 as white and his preparation is in short with Anand’s
Even though kramnik busted, I still think he may have some novelty for black with e4 opening.
Kramnik has no choice but to sacrifice sacrifice sacrifice in order to go for the jugular. We should expect this game for one to be extremely exciting, as well as a number of the games ahead.
Well, it is not difficult to guess what Kramnik will do.the real question is what Anand will do! The safest way to win would be playng for draws, with an edge of 2 poins. In addition, the more a position is flat and drawish, the more Kramnik would be forced tho get exposed. In this way the chance for a further win would be on Anand side and the mach would become even shorter and still safer for Anand.
However, will Anand really do that?

Anand has been playing very psychologically against Krammink..In his first win, game 3, he psychologically knew , Krammnik shall play ..to protect his queen from black bishop..so that he could take his bishop to h3 , then rg2+…he let all this moves happen under time pressure from Krammnik..
way he played 15rg8 ..in game 5.
And again when he played Qb3 ..in game 6 early on..I saw the clipping he was staring at krammnik face . ..while Krammnik is looking at airs to ponder the move…
I think vishy today shall try to draw only..with no unnecessary rrisks..as he had already his fill…

Kramnik will try something different. He will have prepared something early for that line; just to keep Anand out of the preparation. If Anand plays e4, Kramnik has to use the preparation he did before the match.
I will follow this game live here for the first time. I don’t think Anand will play for a draw.
Well, for months prior to this match I was rooting for Kramnik although I knew there was a possibility that Anand coul win…BUT I NEVER IMAGINED THIS SLAUGHTER HOUSE ON HIS PART!!!
My two cents is that Anand will play as aggressive as he did in the first 6 games. Not only is he confident now, but he knows for a fact that he can crush Kramnik and that he has already demolished his confidence. Kramnik better come out swinging….a headline with ‘Kramnik went out fighting till the end’ seems that is the only thing he might have left. But who knows, maybe he can win 3 games out of six (hey Anand just did it!!). But we all know what will happen in an Armageddon match…the Tiger for Madras will take Kramnik to the cleaners.
Just two things:
1. Anand is playing with white again, not with black
2. Kramnik needs four victories in six games, not three. In case of a tie Anand retains the title, ain´t that right?

There is an untie cycle (if needed). I think its 4 25 minutes games…and if needed, an armageddon match. But we all know who would have the lead on these short games.

Anand is definitely strong and is on a good form….
I guess there might be no surprises from Anand and only when his crown is saved shall he try to vary with his usual e4!
