China’s men were equally impressive notching up 18 match points against very tough competition to finish ahead of Ukraine on 17 match points. Hungary was third on 16 match points and India took the final semi-final spot on tie-break ahead of Vietnam after both got 15 match points.

I truly apologize for this question. How can the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA be represented in China with such a weak mens team and a below any comment horrificly weak women’s team, both title and rating-wise??? Exceptions excluded.

        FIDE says:

‘It appeared that China was successfully adopting a strategy of dropping the player who lost in the previous round! But they then drew 2-2 against Hungary, and from then on their new strategy was to shuffle their players and that helped them get back on pace in the very niext round with a 4-0 victory over a young Turkey team that is showing enormous potential.’

        Lets hear the truth now:

China was dropping each girl that lost. But against Hungary, two of our girls lost, so of course the strategy had to be changed, so we don’t lose on one board because of none player!! Later of course, who lost was dropped again.

And yes, the Turkian girls played good and showed enormous potential in blitz chess, potential they will not be able to use again until next Mind Games in next year.

Hungary has the best chess players in world, after russia. It had and it has. Maybe only Spain can compete with talent.
