I just saw this on chess today. It took place in round 7 at Staunton Memorial. It is White to move. How should White proceed?

1.Qg5 works very well until Black plays 1…Ng6.
Insteed 1.Qg5, 1.Qh6 with the same idea works also against 1. …Ng6 (2.Rxg6). But, yes: 1.Rg7 is allways better.
