        Susan, tell us more about the mechanics of this FIDE-rated competition.

        The photo implies that several players were competing against their opponent through a computer link-up, complete with yellow network cables? Is that right?

        The linked-to web site gives no explanation of why the computers are in the photo.

        Hi Gene,

        The picture was taken during a US Chess League online game at the Polgar Chess Center. Each team has 4 players. The Queens Pioneers is anchored by GM Stripunsky, IM Vovsha, FM Kleiman, etc.

        Parker defeated GM Kritz in an OTB event in New England. It was not an online game. I just did not have a picture from the event. Therefore, I used an older picture from some months ago.
