      Conflicting pairings – Corrections made

      Mexico City, World Championship

There seems to be some conflicting reports from various sites about the pairings today.

The official site has it like this so I will make the corrections and go with their pairings:

GM Leko Peter – GM Anand Viswanathan
GM Grischuk Alexander – GM Svidler Peter
GM Gelfand Boris – GM Morozevich Alexander
GM Aronian Levon GM – GM Kramnik Vladimir

In this case, I would do LIVE commentary on Aronian – Kramnik and Leko – Anand.

Another major site had the other pairings this morning and they just changed them as well.

LIVE commentary will begin at 2 PM and I am ready for either pairings 🙂

The organization of this tournament is just pathetically hysterical!

I’d trust ChessBase more that that official site but we’ll see shortly.

qDear Susan…… can you elaborate further as to if you were Leko right now what openings would you expect from Anand …….. so maybe if you assume Leko to be e4….. will anand will go for Marshall, Ruy Lopez or maybe something else!

Unless Playchess and the official site both have the wrong headers, Leko is playing an Anti-Marshall (a4) against Anand and Kramnik is playing another Catalan…as BLACK against Aronian!

Aronian would either be a genius of psychology or a desparate idiot to play the Catalan against Kramnik. Perhaps he hopes Kramnik will jump at playing best equalizing lines and take an easy draw as Black? Game is moving fast so Vlad is obviously nonplussed at facing his own weapon…

All those predictions of Kramnik losing a game. Do they really think this guy loose a game of chess that much a year? History proves them very wrong for quite some time since the early nineties.
