Many of you asked about the possibility of adding sections for Computer, Scholastic and College Chess in the www.ChessDiscussion.com forum. Thank you for the wonderful suggestion and I am happy to say that our genius programmer Gregory Alexander is working 25 hours a day to add them for you very soon!

Please feel free to send in suggestion to make the Chess Discussion forum better and more efficient.

On another note, about 20,000 people follow the live commentary on this blog during the first round. We got around 25,600 people during roound 2, around 28, 150 during game 3 and about 29,000 today. I wonder whether the numbers quoted genuinely refer to ‘users’ – or whether they refer to ‘page impressions’ or, even worse, ‘page hits’ instead.

Spot on – ‘page hits’ are about 10x ‘page impressions’ – maybe a lot more for these big blog pages.
‘Users’ will also be refreshing often on a running story, so ‘page impressions’ will be a big multiple of ‘users’.
