      Vovk, Levin and Blagojevic share first place in 3rd Salento Open 2014

      The 3rd edition of Salento International Chess Tournament took place from 17th to 24th May, 2014 at Le Sirene Resort, in the beautiful town of Gallipoli, located by the Ionian Sea, on the west coast of the Salentina Peninsula, Italy.

      The event was a 9 round Swiss with total prize fund in the amount of 5 600 € and a time control 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 15 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds increment starting from move 1.

      GM Andrey Vovk (Ukraine), GM Felix Levin (Germany) and GM Dragisa Blagojevic (Montenegro) shared first place with 6/9 points each, but Vovk emerged a winner on his superb tie-break score.
