      Bacrot defeated Bologan in Armageddon game

      This is the second match of the day that had to be settled by an Armageddon game. Bacrot got a gift in the first game when Bologan blundered. Bologan got the favor back in the second game when Bacrot blundered. Bacrot won the third and lost the fourth game. The Armageddon game went to Bacrot’s favor and he moved on to the second round.

      Next is Ivanchuk and Amonatov and Ivanchuk won 2-0.

      In the second round, the pairings will look like this:

      Leko vs. Rublevsky

      Shirov vs. Gelfand

      Morozevich vs. Radjabov

      Bacrot vs. Ivanchuk

      Who will advance to the semi-final?

        Ivanchuk didn’t “easily” win 2-0. He was much worse in game 2, if not lost, but Amonatov gradually lost his way.
