The 17th Bulgarian Children’s Cup “The Queen of Tarnovo” will take place on 1st and 2nd of May, 2014 at hotel “Etar”, in the old Bulgarian capital Veliko Tarnovo.
The event is organized by Chess Club “Etar”, Bulgarian Chess Federation and Veliko Tarnovo Municipality and it is the most popular children’s tournament in Bulgaria, gathering 221 players in 2013. The organizers provide prize fund on the amount of 800€.
The tournament is split into 4 groups (Under 14; Under 12; Under 10 and Under 8) and will be played according to the rapid regulations.
The playing format is 7-round Swiss with the time control 30 minutes per player. For more information, visit the official website.
