      Komodo leads Stage 3 of TCEC – Season 6

      The third Stage of TCEC – Season 6 is in progress. The format is a quad round robin each engine will play both sides of the same opening against each other, twice. The top 4 will move on to Stage 4 while the rest are out of TCEC for the current season.

      The Komodo Chess Engine leads Stage 3 of the prestigious computer chess championship. Komodo (3133) has collected 2.5/3, half a point ahead of Rybka (3087), Critter (3031) and Houdini (3132).

      In the third round Houdini crushed Shredder (2921) in just 65 moves, while Stage 2 winner Stockfish (3135) defended well against Fire (3096) and managed to draw an opposite colored bishop endgame with two pawns less.

        Stockfish lost the very 1st game vs Komodo, it’s not undefeated.
