      Cvitan, Golden Island Krk


      Croatian Grandmaster Ognjen Cvitan preserved the lead from the penultimate round and won the 2nd International Chess Tournament Golden Island Krk 2014 with 8/9 points.

      The event took place at the Hotel Malin in Malinska, Island Krk, Croatia, on 6-12 April, 2014. It was a Swiss tournament, in 9 rounds, 90 minutes + 30 sec increment (from the beginning of the game).

      The Israeli champion GM Tamir Nabaty remained second with 7.5/9, while the last year winner GM Vladislav Nevednichy from Romania took the bronze with 7/9.
