      3 players sharing lead in Winter Sea Deluxe Open

      Italy, Winter Sea Deluxe Open


      The 2nd Winter Sea Deluxe Open is taking place on 2-6th January at the Hotel Michelacci in Gabicce Mare, Italy, next to the Adriatic Sea.

      The tournament is organized by the Fano Chess Club and Dario Pedini.

      A total of 126 players are competing in three sections: Open A for those rated above 1900, Open B for the U2000 participants, Open C for U1600 and Juniors U16 (born after 1.1.1997).

      The overnight leaders GM Vladimir Petkov and IM Evgenij Kalegin shared the point in the 4th round and are joined by GM Dragan Kosic who defeated GM Vladimir Kostic.

      Open A top round 5 pairings:

      GM Kosic Dragan (3.5) – (3.5) GM Petkov Vladimir
      IM Kalegin Evgenij (3.5) – (3.0) IM Collutiis Duilio
      IM Collins Sam E. (3.0) – (3.0) FM Minko Vladimir
      GM Drazic Sinisa (3.0) – (3.0) FM Altini Nicola
      Baldazzi Stefano (2.5) – (2.5) GM Kostic Vladimir G
      FM Sbarra Marco (2.5) – (2.5) Rindlisbacher Jan
