      Zia, Niaz shares 2nd slot with 8 others in 3rd Kuala Lumpur Chess

      UNB, Dhaka

      Two Bangladeshi Grandmaster – Ziaur Rahman and Niaz Murshed – share the 2nd slot in the 3rd Kuala Lumpur Chess Championship with eight other players securing 4.5 points after the 6th round matches in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

      In the day’s 6th round matches, Niaz beat FM Sayantan Das of India while Zia drew with GM Nguyen Anh Dung of Vietnam.

      The 7th round matches will be held today (Sunday). In the 7th round, Zia will play IM Irwanto Saidikin of Indonesia while Niaz will face Khamrakulov Dzhurabek of Uzbekistan.
