Batavia chess tactic Chess tactic, Puzzle Solving White to move. How should white proceed? Source: ChessToday.net Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
1. Rxf6 gxf6
2. Qxh7+ Kf8
3. Ne6+ wins the Q.
If black declines the exchange sacrifice by choosing some other move than gxf6,
2. Rxc6 also wins the Q.

The position has too many tactical possibilities. I had to work them all out until my eyes finally spotted this line :
1. Rxf6! gxf6
2. Ne4! threatening the queen as well as Nxf6 going up a piece.
2…….. Qe7
3. Rxc6! Rf8 Note that the knight is still taboo.
4. Bxd5+ and with two pieces for a rook, and a good position, I would prefer to be white.
Hope this is the solution.
But the position has too many good tactics, there should be a better solution.
Let me try
attack the queen and get the night at Nc6
Ne6
I have looked a lot at moves like Rxf6, Rxc6, Ne6 and e4. Without finding anything decisive.
But, I like something like:
1. e4 Ne5 (Ne7? e5!)
2. Qg3 Qe7 (Nxe4? Nxe4)
3. Re1
planning exd5.
i like 1.R X Kf6 : gxRF6
2. kn e4 forcing queen to protect wither f6 or knight on c6 , RXKC6 OR Kn X f6
cheers

Rxf6 followed by Ne4 looks good though it is not easy from there
