      Caissa Cup

      Award, FIDE, Women's Committee, Yifan Hou


      Chairman of the FIDE Women’s Commission Susan Polgar and owner of the “Classical Jewelry House” Igor Lobortas presented the reigning Women’s World Champion Hou Yifan with the Caissa Cup on Sunday at the ceremony in Polat Hotel.

      FIDE decided to make the Caissa Cup for the best female chess player and asked the Classical Jewelry House to be a sponsor and creator of the Cup.

      The Caissa Cup is made out of silver, gold and it is embossed with few diamonds.

        Kosteniuk is better than Hou Yifan and the Polgar sisters. Russia is best.

        Open your eyes, will you?

        Kosteniuk is merely ranked #21 on FIDE’s latest list of top female players. The best russian on that list is Nadezhda Kosintseva, and she comes in at a “modest” #9.

        Face it, Russia has gone to the dogs.
        And not just as far as chess is concerned.
