      Marx Gyorgy Memorial 2009

      The 2009 edition of the Marx Gyorgy Memorial will take place 24th September- 5th October. It will be a double round robin chess competition, featuring 6 GMs. The time control is 100 minutes/40 moves + 50minutes/20 moves + 30 seconds/move from the first move. Sofia rule will apply and players can offer a draw in the first 40 moves only with arbiter’s permission in particular cases.

      Teller Ede Memorial

      Parallel to the Marx Gyorgy Memorial, a women top event will be held, the Teller Ede Memorial. It will have similar rules and will feature six titled women players.
