I can see a checkmate in four, not three. Are you sure there is a mate in three?
!. Rc6 e6
2. Qxe6 and either rook may enter the backrank with mate next move.
greets, jan
1. Re7!
1. rf6+ ef (if qf6 or ke8 2. rg8#)
2. qe6 na1:)
3. rg8#
Rxf6+
1. Rxf6+ exf (…Qxf6 2. Rg8 mate)
2. Qe6 and next Rg8
Rxf6+ exf6 (if Qxf6 Rg8#)
Rg8+ Ke7
Rg7+ and the K has to move more to e8 or f8 with mate following
1. Rxf6+
if 1… Qxf6; 2. Rg8 checkmate.
if 1… exf6; 2. Qe6 and 3. Rg8
checkmate cannot be stopped.
No question, the position is won. But how it takes only three moves?
I suggest:
1. Rc6 (the thread always is Rg8 mate)
1. Rc6 1. e6
2. Rg8+ 2. Ke7
3. Qe6 mate
